Case Study on GRAL for Simulation of Atmospheric Dispersion under Low Wind Speed Conditions from Road Tunnel Portals in Nanjing

A Lagrangian atmospheric dispersion model GRAL has been introduced, with a case of its application for pollutants dispersion from a roadway tunnel portal in Nanjing. The results show the dispersion characteristics under local meteorological conditions, especially in low wind speed conditions. and the comparison with Gaussian model has been conducted. It is assumed that in simulation within low wind speed conditions GRAL has advantages over the Gaussian models. The example here might be useful in someway for pollution controlling, environment impact assessment and project design.
