Ezperimental Study on Enhancing the Concentration of Ions Generated in the Electrostatic Precipitator
In this paper, simulating experiments of gas purification were carried out by using the electrostatic precipitator self-designed. The factors of the working voltage, the gas velocity, the interval of dust collection plates and so on have been studied experimentally. The research result showed that the gas ion concentration and the ion transporting rate in the discharge space can be enhanced by increasing the gas velocity and the ion momentum in the electrostatic precipitator, because the high gas velocity can effectively prevent the gas ion neutralization in the discharge space. In this study, the gas ion concentration can be enhanced 1-2 magnitudes in the discharge space by increasing the gas velocity; therefore the dust collecting efficiency can be effectively raised. Simultaneity, the drift velocity of the dust can be enhanced, and the volumetric flow of flue gas can also be raised, because of the gas velocity increased. Thus, the volume of electrostatic precipitator can be decreased more times, and its one-off investment is greatly reduced.
