Safety Evaluation of Wellhead Areas Based on Grey Correlation Analysis

Safety of drinking water is the foundation of regional security and plays a crucial role in regional sustainable development. This study summed up the content of the wellhead areas safety, and constructed an evaluation indicator system from the following five safety aspects: water quality, water quantity, pollutant sources, ecological environment and management. Grey correlation analysis was applied to assess the indicator system. Six wellhead areas in Shunyi District, Beijing were evaluated as a case study. The results show that the security situation of the second wellhead area in the District is the best and five others are also in a relatively safe state; however, there are different security risks for each wellhead area. The indicator system based on grey correlation analysis in this paper can more accurately reflect the safety status quo in study areas, which can provide reference to government for management and decision-making.
