Characteristics of Chlorella Vulgaris under Different N/P Ratios in Reclaimed Water Body
Under the condition of different N/P ratio the Chlorella Vulgaris’s capacity of reserving phosphorus in advance and the characteristics for the nutrition utilizing were analysis by lab test combined with their growing situation. The result shows that the algae had the ability of absorbing and storing all the phosphorus in advance at very beginning, then with their growth need and the environmental changing the algae could released the phosphorus which were stored in their bodies into the water timely again to keep up their breeding. Therefore, when using phosphorus content as a monitoring index of water bloom, the hidden character of the P, which means the quantity of P in existence is illusive in the water, must be paid attention to and in order to reduce the possibility of water bloom happened a rather lower content of phosphorus should be maintained throughout, even in the low-speed growth phase of the algae.
