Preparation and Properties of PVDF Ultrafiltration Membrane Improved with -Cyclodeztrine

The polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) blend membrane was prepared by the phase inversion method and indexes were investigated such as water flux, protein rejection and membrane strength. The major factors affecting membrane performance were discussed. The orthogonal experimental results show that: in the PVDF/PMMA/β-CD system, the quality content of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was the maximum factor affecting water flux and rejection; and the immersion time in the coagulation bath had a great impact on membrane strength. In this system, the optional membrane preparation conditions was A2B2C3D1, that is, when the quality content of β-CD is 3%, the pre-evaporation time is 60 s, the coagulation bath temperature is at 35 ℃, and the time membrane from being submerged in the coagulation bath to taken out is 10 minutes, the membrane performance was the best. Filtering aniline and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) anthracene, pyrene and acenaphthene by optimal orthogonal and basal membrane (adding no β-CD) respectively, the results show that the removal rate of the former was all higher than the later, which illustrated the adding of β-CD improving the performance indeed.
