Effects of UV-B and UV-A Radiation on CO2 Emission from Farmland Soils

To investigate the impact of UV-B and UV-A radiation on CO2 emission from farmland soils, field experiments with simulating 0%(CK), 20% supplemental of UV-B (TB) and 20% supplemental of UV-A (TA) were conducted, and static dark chamber-gas chromatography method were used to measure CO2 fluxes. Results indicated that enhanced UV-B radiation did not alter the seasonal patterns of CO2 emission fluxes from farmland soils, and did not alter CO2 fluxes and cumulative amount from farmland soils (p=0.836). Enhanced UV-A radiation did not alter the seasonal patterns of CO2 emission fluxes from farmland soils, while enhanced UV-A radiation accelerated CO2 emission from farmland soils (p=0.038).
