Oily Sludge Biodegradation
In order to study the biodegradation of petroleum in oily sludge, the highly-effective degrading bacterial strians were screened from petroleum contaminated soil, which were applied for the treatment of the oily sludge after domestication. The degrading effect of microbes to the n-cetane and the anthracene was investigated. The oil components which derived from the raw and treated oil sludge were also analyzed by the GC/MS and the four components. The results showed that the saturated components were more easily biodegraded than the aromatic components from the oily sludge. Two highly-effective microbes C6 and A8 screened from the petroleum contaminated soil were used for the oily sludge biodegradation, and the biodegradation efficiency exceeded 90% after 7 days. The biodegradation efficiency was the highest with the two microbe amount of 10 mL·60 mL-1. In addition, restrained influences were discovered between the existed microbes and C6 and A8, and especially the restrained influence between C6 and A8 was higher. Results confirmed that the complex components could be degraded into the simples by the screened microbes. The highly-effective microbes could be well used to the biological treatment of oily sludge through screening and domestication.
