Effects of Iron Hydrozide Addition on the Performance of Membrane Bioreactor
The influences of iron hydroxide addition on the performance of membrane bioreactor were investigated. With the addition of iron hydroxide, membrane permeability was greatly enhanced by the coagulation of small particles and had a higher compressibility for large floc cakes. Better COD and dye removal efficiency was shown with iron hydroxide addition and dye had more significant toxic in activated sludge. The mechanisms of SOUR and dehydrogenase activity of activated sludge and iron hydroxide sludge were discussed in details.
