Determination of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in the Downtown of Kocaeli, Turkey
In this study, volatile organic compound (VOC) levels are measured in the city center of Kocaeli. For this purpose, five different intersections having heavy traffic are determined and active sampling is carried out in the ambient air of the study area. Samples are collected and analyzed according to the USEPA Method TO-17. After samples are collected, they are analyzed in the laboratory using a system including a Thermal Desorber interfaced to a GC-FID.
