Pollution Caused by Ships and Searching the Waste Water of Some Ships Coming to Trabzon Seaport of Turkey

摘要：

Pollutions caused by ships, and their effects in the marine environment were studied. In addition, properties of bilge water of some ships coming to Trabzon seaport were investigated according to national and international laws. During the study, in the bilge waters dissolved oxygen, pH, suspended solid, oil-grease, and chemical oxygen demand values were changed between 4.10-4.50 mg/L, 7.21-7.88, 0.50-21.80 g/L, 6.0-17.0 g/L and 688.1-700.3 mg/L, respectively.
