Numerical simulation of thermal discharge in coastal area

A 2-D numerical model is established for simulating the current and temperature field, body-fitted triangle mesh is used to discrete computation area and finite volume method is applied to solve the water depth-integral equations. The simulated results agree well with the measured data, so the rationality of the model is certified. The current and temperature fields are simulated to forecast the temperature distribution around the plant, and the results provide references for power station design and environmental assessment.
