Developing Vegetation Indicators for Waste Dump Opencast Coalmine Area Using Multisource Remote Sensing Imagery

摘要：

Vegetation indicators selection is an important component in eco environment study in waste dump opencast coalmine area. There are four vegetation indicators are selected in this study,they are Normalized Difference Vegetation Index,Vegetation Fraction,soil bright and vegetation green. A case study of Vegetation Fraction indicator development using Landsat 5 TM remote sensing imagery is stated in this paper.Experiment results indicate that these four indicators are suitable for eco-environment study.
