Durability of Slag-based Inorganic Polymers
Inorganic polymors were immersed in aquatic and acidic solutions as well as subjectedto freeze-thaw cycles and high temperature heating and the evolution of the compressive strength over a pedod of 9 months was recorded. The effect of the addition of heavy metals as sulfate or nitrate salts in the initial paste on the compressive strength of the final products was also studied.Identification of new phases formed in order to elucidate to a certain extent the mechanisms of inorganic polymer synthesis was carried out by XRD.
