THE MEAN SQUARE CONVERGENCE OF PPDA PROJECTION INDEX

摘要：

Projection Pursuit is a statistical method to process and analyze high dimensional data. The basic idea is to find the projection which can reveal the internal structures and characters of high dimension by projecting high dimensional data to low dimension space, so that we can analyze and research the high dimension data better. Projection Pursuit has been extensively applied in many fields. Among it, the key issue is to select the appropriate projection index. By PPDA projection index for example, this article proves that it’s mean square convergent with the relevant knowledge about wavelet estimation, which provides the convenience for us to select the optimum projection index.
