INTERPLAY BETWEEN LIQUID-LIQUID PHASE SEPARATION AND CRYSTALLIZATION OF POLYOLEFIN BLENDS DETECTED BY RHEOLOGICAL MEASUREMENTS

Introduction: The interplay between phase transitions including liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) and crystallization plays a dominant role in controlling the physical and mechanical properties of polymer blends, thus it has long attracted considerable attentions but is still far from being well understood due to the complex thermodynamics and kinetics.1-4 In the current study, we will focus on the competition between LLPS and subsequent crystallization kinetics by rheological measurements, which may offer a new way to shed light on the underlined relations between these two complex processes.
