ASSOCIATION AND AGGREGATION BEHAVIOR OF POLY (ETHYLENE OXlDE)-B-POLY (N-ISOPROPYLACRYLAMIDE) IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION
Thermo-responsive polymers have attracted a great deal of attention in the past few decades due to their potential applications in drug-delivery and as intelligent materials. Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAm) is one of the most widely studied thermoresponsive polymers The thermo-responsive PNIPAm segment also brings interesting properties to the double-hydrophilic block and graft copolymers containing it. For example, diblock copolymer consisting of PNIPAM and poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO) exhibited excellent micellization behavior at temperatures above its critical micelle temperature (c.m. T.).
