PREPARATION AND THERMAL PROPERTIES OF POLYSTYRENE/POLYVINYLSILSESQUIOXANE HYBRID COMPOSITES
Preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid composite is an interesting field of research; they display enhanced properties by bridging the properties between two dissimilar types of materials. The term polysilsesquioxanes (PSQ) refers to structures with the empirical formula (RSiO3/2)n, where R is hydrogen, methyl, vinyl or other organic groups, it is a typical hybrid material which contains a crosslinked inorganic phase and an organic-functional group. Due to its desirable mechanical, thermal and electrical properties, PSQ has attracted extensive attention for the use of ceramic precursors, high performance coatings, and low dielectrics for electronic devices and so on.
