EFFECT OF SOLVENT ON THE CRYSTALLINE BEHAVIOR OF POLY(3-HEXYLTHIOPHENE)/POLYETHYLENE GLYCOLS BLENDS
It is suggested that the crystalline behavior of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) depends not only on the processing conditions but also on the properties of solvents.1 Herein, we find that P3HT forms large, well-developed whiskerlike domains when poly(3hexylthiophene)/polyethylene glycols (P3HT/PEG) blends are cast from xylene due to the poor solubility and low evaporation rate of xylene.
