SOLVENT VAPOR ANNEALING AND THERMAL ANNEALING EFFECTS ON POLY(3-HEXYLTHIOPHENE): METHANOFULLERENE BULK HETEROJUNCTION PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS
Polymer photovoltaic (PV) cells have received considerable attention as a potential alternative to silicon-based PV technology for low-cost solar energy conversion. Regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and 6,6 -phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) blend is one of the most promising candidate for realizing high power conversion efficiency since P3HT possesses high selforganization capability, high hole mobility and extended absorption in the red region. Here, we investigated in detail the effects of solvent vapor treatment and thermal annealing on the P3HT:P3HT blend morphology and its photovoltaic performance.
