STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF POLYCARBONATE GLYCOL-BASED POLYURETHANE ELASTOMERS
Introduction Polyurethanes (PUs) can be classified as a polar polymer because the urethane linkage possesses strong polar groups. This property leads the PUs for the quite wide industrial applications. For the polycarbonate glycol (PC)-based PU, it has a feature that the heat resistance is quite high. In this study, we employed the PC glycols with various numbers of a methylene chain. The microphaseseparated structure and mechanical properties of the PUs synthesized with these PC glycols were investigated.
