MORPHOLOGY AND KINETICS OF PHASE SEPARATION IN PHOTOREACTIVE POLYMER BLENDS UNDER TEMPORAL MODULATION

Molecular weight and yield of polymer products obtained by photopolymerization depend on irradiation intensity and time via which the radical concentration can be modified. From the viewpoint of phase separation, the phase behavior is greatly influenced by these two factors. We have tried to control morphology of polymer blends by periodic irradiation using computer-assisted irradiation (CAI) method (Fig.1). Here, we report the effects of temporal modulation on morphology and the timeevolution of phase separation.
