THE EFFECT OF CARBON NANOTUBES ON THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF ALUMINA FILLED SILICONE RUBBER
Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS, silicone rubber), as an inorganic polymer, has much attention for their unique unusual flexibility, high and low temperature resistance, chemical resistance, weathering property, bio-compatibility, no smell and optical transparency compared with other organic rubbers. For that reason, PDMS is widely used in aerospace, constructions, households, medical, cable, automobile, electronics, food and chemical industries. But the most of rubber materials, including silicone rubber, have low thermal conductivity (0.02-0.2 W/mK) compared with metal or ceramic materials.
