THE STUDY ON THE GAS PERMEATION OF ETHYLENE 1-HEXENE COPOLYMER
1. Introduction The transportation of small molecules in polyolefins is a hot research objective in both technical and commercial areas. It is technically important because the factors such as morphology and molecular interactions, that control diffusion are not well determined. Therefore, the study of the diffusive characteristics of gases specially oxygen, is of great importance1. In this work, the transport properties of several copolymers of ethylene with 1hexene were studied by molecular dynamics(MD) simulation. The gas transportation properties are analyzed in terms of the comonomer content and morphology exhibited by the sample.
