THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE

With the development and application of the high performance concrete, the impact that buildings have on the ecological environment is causing the concern of the community. At the same time, in the course of the construction and operation of the buildings, a great deal of nature resources and energy are consumed which has various impacts on the environment. The concept of the high performance concrete in the sense of sustainable development is also explained in this paper. It is pointed out that the development in the technology of high performance concrete should harmonize the relationship between the consumption of resource and living environment and the long-term benefit in the development of human beings. The research status and developing trend of the high performance concrete are discussed. At present, concrete is developing towards the direction of the high-strength, high-performance and ecology, so the development of the technology of green high performance concrete is being progressed. It is concluded that the development of green high performance concrete is the only way for the sustainable development of the high performance concrete.
