PROPERTIES OF ALKALI-ACTIVATED SLAG AND ITS APPLICATION ON PAVEMENT CONCRETE
The paper studied effect of alklia activators such as gypsum and sodium sulfate on blended cement made from slag, and analysised hydration products, micro properties by X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption, etc. Prepared a series of concrete by means of adjusting water to binder ratio, the content of alkali-activated slag. Test results show that the concrete has higher flexural strength (flexural strength exceeds 7.0 MPa with the content of slag being 30%), outstanding durability, and expecially suitable for building pavement that demands high flexural strength.
