DURABILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR RECYCLED AGGREGATE CONCRETE BASED ON ENVIROMENTAL ACTION GRADE
This paper concerns durability requirements for recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) in structural engineering subjected to different environment actions. Based on research results from a large number of references, durability requirements were proposed according to durability deteriorated mechanism in different environments. Some relevant limits were put forward for the factors affecting durability of RAC. Those factors included quality of recycled aggregates, the minimum dosage of unit cementing material, the amount of admixture, the maximum water to cement or binder ratio, the contents of chloride ion, sulphate, alkali, and so on. The proposed durability requirements can be a reference for designing mix proportion of RAC and applying RAC to actual structural engineering in reason.
