EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF COLUMNS WITH RECYCLED AGGREGATE CONCRETE

As one of the effective methods to use waste concrete, its necessary to know more about mechanic properties and durability of concrete with recycled concrete. The paper focused on mechanic properties of recycled concrete column, and researched the destructive form, the load capability, the history characteristic and energy absorption capability of recycled concrete column by the horizontal low cycle repetition load test compared with normal reinforcement concrete. The experiment showed that recycled concrete column expressed good seismic behavior whose destructive form, load capability, and energy absorption capability decreased little compared with normal reinforcement concrete column under the same class grade. It is possible to use recycled aggregate concrete in column from the view pornt of mechanic properties.
