RESEARCH ON CALCULATION METHOD OF CONCRETE MEMBERS PRESTRESSED BY FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER STRANDS
Concrete members prestressed by FRP strands are widely utilized recently for some advantages over those prestressed by steel strands, such as good endurance. FRP strands have different material performance and surface pattern from steel strands, so calculation design of concrete members prestressed by steel strands cannot be applied in that by FRP strands. Analytical method considering interaction between FRP strands and concrete (AMCIFCC) is proposed to solve the problem. Through analyzing concrete beam prestressed by FRP with traditional method of equivalent loads and the AMCIFCC respectively, it clearly shows that the results of AMCIFCC accord with the results of experiments better than that of the traditional method. AMCIFCC can be taken as an effective analytical method of concrete members prestressed by FRP strands.
