THE RESEARCH ON ACCEPTANCE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA FOR SHEAR WALL COMPONENTS BASED ON CHINESE CODES
The paper discusses the way to determine the acceptance performance criteria for shear wall components based on Chinese codes. Firstly, the basic performance demands are proposed for the shear wall components under frequent, fortified and severe earthquake levels according to Chinese codes. Secondly, the failure modes and impact factors of the components are analyzed, and then the selection of the acceptance performance index for the components under different failure modes is put forward. The approach of dividing the shear walls of the building into the components is also discussed. Finally, the determination and verification of the acceptance performance criteria are presented.
