DESIGN OF THE KEY SEGMENT OF THE EXTERNAL PRE-STRESSING STRUCTURE BY STRUT-AND-TIE MODEL
The anchorage is the key segments of the external pre-stressing structure. It endures complicated stresses. On the other hand, the strut-and-tie model is widely used in the disturbed regions in concrete structures. It has been incorporated in the code for the design of structural concrete in United State of American, Canada, Europe. In this paper, three finite element models are established to analysis the stress distribution of the anchorage of the external prestressing bridge, which considered the function of angle iron; steel tie plate; external pre-stressing steel tube, reinforcement network and distributing reinforcement. From the results of three finite element models, some anchorage conformation suggestions are given. Then, the strut-and-tie model introduced by the concrete construction design code of ACI-318-05 is adopted for design of the single anchorage of T-beam. For the multi-hole anchorage, with the interference of the transversal and vertical stress ignored, the strut-and-tie model is established based on the elastic stress analysis. Then, the areas of the reinforcement are calculated according to the concrete construction design code of ACI-318-05 and the reinforcement locations are determined. Finally, the anchorage reinforcement design advices are given.
