DESIGN OF A NOVEL PRESTRESSED CONCRETE STRUCTURE WITH THE SAME TENDONS AS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL

In the process of strengthening and retrofit of building, a novel prestressing strengthening technique is invented with part of the unbounded tendons as internal, and the rest of them as external.Such technique solves the problem in the retrofit engineering of adding large span floor between the exist building. A design procedure to such a novel prestressed concrete structure is presented. Detailed design and calculation for a building are carried out, step by step, to show the application of proposed method.
