RESEARCH ON VERTICAL DEFORMATION DIFFERENCE OF FRAME COREWALL STRUCTURE WITH STRENGTHENED STOREY

With the development of high-rise buildings, the problem brought by vertical deformation difference is getting more serious. Strengthened storey which can increase the structure stiffness was found to play a role of reducing vertical deformation difference. However, there is little research and reports about how strengthened storey controls the vertical deformation difference. In this paper, the vertical deformation difference has been calculated and analyzed by applying the 3-D FEA software SAP2000, based on a typical frame-core wall structure. In the process of analysis, creep and shrinkage of concrete and construction simulation are taken into account. In addition, the influence of strengthened storey on vertical deformation difference is analyzed by changing the position, number and stiffness of strengthened storey. The results indicate that the optimum location to reduce vertical deformation difference is at 2/3 of high-rise building height. The vertical deformation difference decreases with the rise of strengthened storey number, but the effect will become smoother and smoother. It is not obvious to reduce vertical deformation difference by increasing stiffness of the strengthened storey.
