APPLICATION ANALYSIS ON DWELLING SYSTEMS OF LIGHTWEIGHT STEEL CONSTRUCTION IN HEBEI PROVINCE OF CHINA
There are a lot of advantages of light-weight steel residential constructions compared with the traditional ones, such as the high strength, light weight, good seismic performance, fast fabrication and small component sections. As well in the technical and economic aspects, the superiority of this type of construction system has been observed which is more satisfy the requirements of the green and creational dwelling systems. In the construction phase, the design can be standardized; the production of the components can be in large scale set; the construction can be easily mechanized; the supply of the products can be socialized; and the consumption can be in series. It is the tendency of the development of the architecture technology to popularize and develop the light weight steel construction, especially in dwelling systems. Based on several projects and researches of the light weight steel dwelling constructions in Hebei, the advantages and the disadvantages of this type of dwelling systems have been investigated. Also, in this paper, the trend of the development of the light weight steel dwelling constructions have been discussed.
