THE RELIABILITY ANALYSIS FOR SHEAR BEARING CAPACITY OF STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE (SRC) CONNECTIONS
The Technical Specification for Steel Reinforced Concrete Composite Structures (JGJ138-2001) gives a formula to calculate shear bearing capacity of the steel reinforced concrete connections. Whether the reliability of the formula is suitable is a matter what engineers and researchers care for. The MonteCarlo method is used to analyze the reliability of the formula. The numerical calculation function of Matlab is used to solve the difficulty of direct sampling. The effect of ratios of load effect, strength of concrete and stirrup reinforcement ratio on the reliability index of the design formula is quantitatively analyzed through an example. The results indicate that the reliability index varies with the load effect ratio significantly, and it obviously increases with the improvement of the concrete strength and the standard grade of steel. The effect of stirrup ratio and axial force on the reliability index is more slight than that of concrete strength and the standard grade of steel.
