BEHAVIOR OF GANGUE CONCRETE FILLED STEEL TUBULAR COLUMN-RING BEAM JOINT UNDER REVERSED CYCLIC LOADING
To research the seismic behavior of gangue concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) column-ring beam joint, test on two gangue concrete filled steel tubular column-ring beam joints under reversed loading were carried out. The failure patterns, hysteretic characteristics, ductility and energy dissipation under axial load were studied. The hysteretic loops were plump when the maximum load was reached. At the descending stage of lateral load, the loops have different extent of pinch. In general, the specimens exhibited good energy dissipation capacity. Due to the independence of the concrete filled steel tubular column and the ring beam at the connection, failure of the joint would not influence the load carrying capacity of column.
