OPTIMIZATION OF STRUCTURAL MEMBER OF CONCRETE-FILLED STEEL TUBE BASED ON GENETIC ALGORITHM
For unnecessary expenses in the design process of CFST (concrete-filled steel tube) structures, GA (genetic algorithm) is used to optimize CFST members. In this paper, optimization models of axial compression members and pure bending members have been established with MATLAB GA toolbox. On the premise of meeting design requirements, effective results have been obtained by means of selecting functions and controlling parameters. GA can be used to CFST members without considering the complicated interaction between steel tube and core-concrete. This optimization method can provide necessary reference for the optimization design in the future.
