THE DESIGN METHOD OF A NEW TYPE OF CFST COLUMN JOINT

Based on the experimental results, the force transfer mechanism and the internal force distribution of the rigid hoop-beam concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) column joint are discussed. It can be considered that the internal forces of the joint are bom by the corbels and reinforced concrete hoop-beam, and the redistribution the internal forces can happen between the hoop-beam and the corbels or between the different corbels. The designing methods of the frame beam, the hoop-beam and the moment resisting corbels in the joint are presented, which can be used in practical design.
