STATIC ANALYSIS OF THE OPEN WEB TRUSS-CONNECTED STRUCTURE
To study the static performance of a double-tower steel-reinforced concrete open web truss-connected structure, four schemes are comparatively analyzed in this paper, which are the common open web truss, the mixed open web truss, the lower transfer beam and the upper suspension beam respectively. In contrast to the common open web truss, the mixed open web truss has great advantage in increasing the stiffness of the truss, reducing the vertical displacement of the truss, reducing the maximum moment and shear of the brace of the truss. In contrast to the upper suspension scheme and the lower transfer beam scheme, the mixed open web truss-connected structure has better static performance and ductility. The mass distribution and floor stiffness of the mixed open web truss-connected structure is very even. The open web truss-connected structure has also great advantage in reducing high stress concentration, stiffness mutation, mass concentration in braces. So if allowed by the architectural design, it is strongly suggested to use the mixed open web truss in the selection of the connecting body.
