STATICAL ANALYSIS AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF TIMBER GRID COMPOSED WITH FOUR INTERSECTING GIRDERS SUPPORTED BY EXTERNAL STEEL TIES

The paper discusses the method and the results of the research on the combined spatial grid and rod constructions made of timber and steel. The construction structure put to the test consisted of a timber glued grid made of continuous beams supported in the joints (the points of intersection of the beams) with poles made of round timber supported on intersecting steel ties. The grid consisted of four intersecting beams, two in each direction. The description was provided of the test stand, the methodology and the results of the research.
