THE STRUCTURE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FEATURE OF CONCRETE INCLINED PYLON CABLE-STAYED BRIDGE WITH BACKSTAYS

The Banfu no.2 bridge, located in Zhongshan city, is under construction. It is a 102-meter-long inclined pylon cable-stayed bridge with backstays. This new type of bridge has a beautiful design, and the structure is unique, which is different from the conventional cable-stayed bridge in structure and mechanical property. As a result, this type of bridge has some particularity in structure design and construction. It is discussed in detail that the selection of pylon and girder section, structural style of pylon, and the relation between structure balance and obliquity of pylon. Furthermore, the mechanical property of structure and the construction technology of both main and side spans are analyzed, and the analysis results indicate that: First, the self weight of main span can be balanced by bottom stowage of side span, and when it reaches optimum state of structural internal force, the quantity of material is the least; Second, the side span adopts full framing construction method, but the main span adopts cantilever casting construction method, which not only makes structural mechanical behavior rational during construction, but also speeds up the construction process. Besides, there is further study of shear lag effect of main girder, temperature effect, and the intersection joints stress condition of main girder and pylon in the process of designing, which makes the Banfu no.2 bridge safe and economical.
