IDENTIFICATION OF EXTREME DYNAMIC LOADS TO CABLE-STAYED BRIDGE BASED ON MONITORING DATA

Load identification of structures is an essential issue of structural safety evaluation especially when structures suffer from extreme events. In this paper, based on the measured dynamic data from the structural monitoring system of Kezhushan cablestayed bridge, a major bridge of Donghai Bridge Linkage Project in Shanghai, the criterions are defined for load identification using wide band spectrum and RMS values. Unlike the usually employed threshold alarming method, these criterions can be used to distinguish explosion loads from normal signals.
