NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF UNDERGROUND RC BOXES BY USING MINDLIN LAYERED PLATE ELEMENTS
In this paper Mindlin plate elements are employed for the nonlinear analysis of underground box RC structures. The plate elements are assumed as multiple layers with consideration of bending deformation and shear deformation in out-of-plane. The COM3 Model developed by Maekawa is used for constitutive relationship of each layer RC material. The two used RC boxes are experimented models from past literature and static displacement pushing loads are input for nonlinear responses. The calculated results by layered plates were compared with the experimental results and finally the discussion and conclusions are given.
