ANALYSIS OF SPATIO-TEMPORAL EFFECT OF EXISTING TUNNEL DUE TO ADJACENT SHIELD EXCAVATION
With the background of new excavating tunnel down through existed metro-tunnel and the aid of Flac3D program, it is according to the constitutive relation of Mohr-Column type describing soil material that a theoretical model is proposed to study the deformation behavior of the surrounding soil mass surrounding and mutual actions with existed structures, including the effects of two cases of excavation process considered and unconsidered. The loads are mainly containing permanent action without considering the action of underground water. Accordingly, the characteristic regularity of soil deformation and its influence on internal force and deformation of the structures are obtained. It is shown that the influence of the construction of the tunnel approaching shield excavation is not only lay on the final deformation, but also of greatly related with the dynamical behavior it caused. It is also put forward in the paper that the parameters, for example, the slope, curvature as well as horizontal displacement, vertical displacement and relative settlement, could be regarded as quantitative index for evaluating the safety of underground structures. These parameters obtained by simulation are consistent with that by the site monitoring. Under the above circumstances could this study therefore not only show its potential for evaluation for the structural safety of underground works, but also have more importance for design and construction of underground structures in future.
