INFLUENCE FACTORS ON DRILLED-PILE SIDE SOIL RESISTANCE
The bearing capacity of a pile includes the side resistance and the bottom resistance, the side resistance is more difficult to be determined comparing with the bottom resistance. Based on the result of drilled-pile internal force tests and their finite element calculation, the influence factors of the side soil resistance are discussed, which are the possible destroy forms, the changes of side compressive stress in different soil depth and the choosing pile-soil-interface parameters. It can be concluded by analysis results that damage occurs in the interface of three test piles. If the soil is not saturated, when the friction parameters are certain, the change of the side compressive stress of a pile is the main parameter that causes the variation of the side soil resistance of a pile.
