NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF HYSTERETIC BEHAVIOR FOR THE CORRODED REINFORCED CONCRETE BRIDGE PIERS

Based on the low-cycle reversed loading tests, corroded reinforced concrete bridge piers were modeled with ANSYS software and the low-cycle reversed loading tests were non-linearly simulated. The calculated hysteretic curves of the finite element model by analysis were also agreed well with experimental results. The corrosion effect of steel bar was simulated by temperature field to bridge pier. The hysteretic curves, skeleton curves, and energy dissipation capacity of the bridge piers in different corrosion rate were obtained. It has guiding significance to the seismic research of corroded reinforced concrete members.
