STUDY ON PULL FORCE FORMULA AND DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF BUILDING MOVING TECHNOLOGY

An experimental study on the building moving technology is -conducted on the basis of a ninestory building in this paper. The experimental results from different combinations of the roller diameter and structure weight indicated that the required pull force for the building moving is linearly proportional to the buildings weight and in inverse proportion to the roller diameter. Furthermore, a general correlation of the designed pull force for practical applications has been obtained based on the on-site measured data from an actual project. Finally, the fundamental dynamic characteristics of the building moving were analyzed on the base of the nine-story structure model, which demonstrated that the first vibration mode behaves the characteristic of the parallel move, while the second and third modes are similar to the second and third modes of seismic response in the general structure, respectively.
