EFFECT OF CONCRETE SLABS ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF STEEL FRAMES
In order to investigate the effect of concrete slabs on seismic responses of steel frames, a certain width floor slab are taken as the flange of the steel beam in this paper. Finite element analysis for frame composite beams is first conducted. Further the moment-curvature hysteresis model of composite beam cross-section is proposed. The author of this paper programmed the FEM program for time-history analysis of structure seismic responses. Through the comparisons of the elasto-plastic seismic responses between the composite beam steel frame and the mated pure steel frame, the influences of the composite action of concrete slabs on seismic behaviors of steel frames are discussed preliminarily. The study of this paper supplies a valuable calculation measure for the further study in the future.
