EFFECT OF GROUND COLUMN FAILURE TO INSTANTANEOUS DYNAMIC OF FRAME STRUCTURE

In this paper, the explicit analysis of ANSYS finite element methods was used to simulate the instantaneous response of a high rise building with a sudden invalidation of side columns of the ground floor. Several parameters such as: damper coefficients, structure mass, lateral stiffness and initial static load were taking into account in this analysis while calculating the removing indexes and horizontal displacement Conclusions can be drawn from the calculation results that the instantaneous horizontal displacement of the structure fluctuates around static result and converges to the static displacement because of the influence of damper. The maximum displacement of the instantaneous response is about 50% bigger than that of the static one. The effect of initial static load on the instantaneous response makes the amplitude of vibration of horizontal and vertical displacement 80% bigger than that without the effect. The effect of initial static load on the instantaneous response is related to the stiffness, structure mass and damper coefficients. The smaller the stiffness is and the bigger the mass is, the smaller the effect of static load to the maximum displacement.
