RESEARCH ON PERFORMANCE LEVELS OF RC SHEAR WALL BY PERFORMANCE-BASED SEISMIC DESIGN METHOD

Based on the performance-based seismic design theory, the performance levels of reinforced concrete shear wall were quantified. According to the experimental studies on ductility performance of RC shear walls which were conducted by domestic scholars since 1970s, this paper collected the experimental data of 120 RC shear wall specimens with displacement model under lateral force and analyzed the ductility of those shear wall specimens in different performance levels. Meanwhile, the formulas to calculate sectional curvature and plastic rotation angles of shear wall specimens in different performance levels were deduced according to the provisions in corresponding home and abroad codes. The functional relation between the coefficient of the formula above and the parameter of the specimen was fitted. Compared to the experiment, the results calculated by the formula could reach a guaranteed rate of 95%.
