New Study Program for Academic Education of Maintenance Engineers and Managers in the Czech Republic
The paper brings information on the newly designed and accredited education program at the Faculty of Engineering, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. The purpose of the new program is to educate qualified engineers and maintenance managers. The program was named “Maintenance Engineering and has been accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports as a Bachelors and follow-up Masters degree in form of both full-time study and distance learning. The “Maintenance Engineering program was developed with respect to the educational requirements that emerged from the results of the international project Euromaint funded by the EUs Leonardo da Vinci programme. The “Maintenance Engineering study program is expected to be launched in Academic year 2010/2011.
